Hi, my name is Ashlee Assadi. I was born in a small town called Washburn, WI. My family moved around a bit when I was young, but eventually I landed in Minneapolis at the age of eighteen to attend the Aveda Institute. I am married to an amazing, bold, warrior, man of valor, Armin Assadi. I’m grateful that God brought us together. I can’t imagine my life without him. He truly makes me a better woman…most days. 🙂 We have a beautiful baby girl named Aida. She brought color into our world and carries so much joy wherever she goes. She was definitely God’s gift to us.

My deepest passion is painting. I have loved it since I was a small child but have never painted consistently, until now. God has deeply moved me to be the person I am today. Without Him, I wouldn’t have the inspiration or courage to do this. I am stepping into something new when it comes to art. It’s called “prophetic art.” I love how Matt Tommey from The Worship Studio puts what prophetic art is into words. He says, “Artists are the life-givers in culture.  We are at pivotal intersection point where the Kingdom of Heaven meets culture. It is there that we have the unique opportunity, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to translate the Kingdom of Heaven into a language that bypasses words and goes directly into the human spirit. When we collaborate with the Holy Spirit in this dance of Kingdom creativity, His power, His Life and His Light merge with our faith, creative thoughts, imaginations, desires and skill into art that carries the literal presence and power of God. It is in this context that our art, no matter the creative medium becomes prophetic.”

Professionally, I am a hairstylist. I absolutely love what I do because I get to make people feel good and use my creative ability to make people look their absolute best.

I’m an extravert (MBTI or Myers briggs is ENFJ), which means I’m extremely social. Surprisingly, one of my main interests in life is giving love, support, and encouragement to other people (women and children pull on my heart strings). I have a crazy dream of someday moving to the Middle East to work in refugee camps caring for as many people as I can. What can I say, I am a humanitarian at heart (This is what my poor husband has to deal with:).
